Gardens by the Bay was part of a plan to transform the country's "Garden City" into a "Garden City", which aimed to improve the quality of life by enhancing the city's greenery and flora.Gardens by the Bay was originally planned to be Singapore's top urban outdoor leisure area when it was first revealed by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong during the country's National Day Rally in 2005 and a national icon

Being a popular tourist attraction in Singapore, the park received 6.4 million visitors in 2014, peaking at its 20 millionth visitor in November 2015 and over 50 million in 2018.

Bay Central Garden
The purpose of Bay Central Garden is to connect Bay South and Bay East Gardens. It stands at 15 hectares (37 acres) with a 3-kilometer (1.9 mi) waterfront promenade that allows for scenic walks stretching from the city center to the east of Singapore.[5]

Bay East Garden
Bay East Gardens is 32 hectares (79 acres) in size and its 2-kilometer (1.2 mi) promenade frontage borders the marina reservoir. An interim park was created at Bay East Gardens in support of the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics. In October 2011, the garden's initial phase opened to the public, providing a another way to visit the Marina Barrage.

It is laid out as a sequence of enormous tropical leaf-shaped gardens, each with a unique theme, character, and landscaping style. There will be five water inlets aligned with the existing wind direction while allowing air and water to enter the site to help cool areas of surrounding activities.
Bay East Garden offers visitors an unobstructed view of the city skyline. The upcoming developments at Bay East Gardens will be based on the theme of water. In 2018, the Bay East Gardens were designated as the future site of the Founders' Memorial.

Bay South Garden
Bay South Gardens opened to the public on 29 June 2012. It is the largest of the three gardens at 54 hectares (130 acres) and is designed to showcase the best of tropical horticulture and garden artistry.

The overall concept of its master plan by Grant Associates takes inspiration from an orchid as it is representative of the tropics and Singapore, the country's national flower, Vanda 'Miss Joachim'. Orchids take root at the water's edge (conservation centers), while leaves (landscapes), shoots (paths, roads and links) and secondary roots (water, power and communication lines) then form an integrated network with flowers (theme gardens and supertrees) at the root. at the intersection.

Conservatories
The conservatory complex at Gardens by the Bay consists of two cool conservatories – the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest, located along the Marina Reservoir. The conservatories, designed by WilkinsonEyre and Grant Associates, are intended to provide an energy-efficient showcase of sustainable building technologies and an all-weather learning space within the gardens. Both are very large (about 1 hectare (2.5 acres)) and the Flower Dome is the largest columnless glasshouse in the world.

The construction of the glasshouse is special in two ways. First, by being able to have such a large glass roof without additional internal supports (such as columns). Second, because constructions are strongly aimed at minimizing the environmental footprint. Rainwater is collected from the surface and recycled in a cooling system that is connected to the supertrees. Supertrees are used both to abolish hot air and to cool circulating water.

Children's Garden
Designed by Grant Associates, which also designed Gardens by the Bay, the Children's Garden was fully funded by the Far East Organization for $10 million. This attraction opened on 21 January 2014. The children's garden is near the treehouse and adventure trail. Adventure trails include trampolines, balancing beams, hanging bridges and more.
It is open from Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 7 pm. and 9 am to 9 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. It is closed on Monday or the next working day if Monday is a public holiday.

Events
The center organizes events throughout the year. Die-Nosor Gardens is an immersive and educational event held at Gardens by the Bay in 2017 as part of the annual Children's Festival. A number of dinosaur-inspired characters associated with this event were found on display .
